BCMSlib

BCMSlib is a web user interface software that monitors the status and performance of a call center. It uses data collected in the Basic Call Management System (BCMS) on a Avaya DEFINITY System or a S8300/S8500 system.

Features of BCMSlib Software:

• Receive real-time data from the DEFINITY system and display it in web interface form on a PC monitor
• Receive real-time data from the DEFINITY system using XML-RPC calls
• Download DEFINITY system historical data regularly to a MySQL database on the PC
• Receive historical data from the MySQL database and display it in web interface form on a PC monitor

Installation

BCMSlib is distributed as a Python source distribution. You can install it by follow steps:

• Unpacking the source distribution
• Create database by command: mysql bcmsmon.sql
• Create DEFINITY login (see bcmsmonconf.py comments)
• Check configuration file bcmsmonconf.py
• Run by command: python bcmsmon.py

You will need Twisted and MySQLdb packages installed. As well you will need MySQL database managment system available.
